Subscription & Donation Terms
Last Updated: June 25, 2026
These Subscription & Donation Terms ("Terms") govern the paid subscription services and community donations offered by StillsLab. They supplement the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which remain in full effect.
1. Subscriptions, Licensing, and Donations
1.1. Subscription Plans (Paddle). Commercial access to StillsLab is offered through paid subscription plans billed via Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all billing, tax collection, recurring charges, and the tokenization of card details. StillsLab does not collect, store, or process any payment information directly. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms. We currently offer two plans:
- Basic. Unlocks the subscriber-only features of the StillsLab platform, including frame analysis, the Community Showcase upload functionality, early access to new content, and all other content otherwise gated behind a paid subscription.
- Studio. Includes everything in the Basic plan and additionally unlocks the StillsLab Studio team workspace and production tools (shot list generator, call sheet generator, kanban boards, logistics, and related collaboration features).
These two plans are sold on a standard self-serve basis. Bulk and partner purchases (film schools, courses, and large teams) are available at custom pricing via a private Paddle invoice — see the Volume Licensing provisions in Section 1.3.
1.2. Patreon Disclaimer (Legacy Donations). Any contributions made through Patreon are voluntary donations in support of the StillsLab media base. Such donations are handled exclusively by Patreon and do not grant any right to demand, claim, or access the commercial Basic or Studio subscription plans or their features. Paid access is governed solely by the Paddle-billed subscription plans described in Section 1.1. Any attempt to manipulate, misrepresent, or otherwise abuse Patreon donations in order to obtain commercial subscription access will result in a permanent ban.
1.3. Volume Licensing (B2B). The Administration offers custom packages and volume licenses for film schools, educational courses, and large teams. A volume license is issued as a private Paddle invoice or a dedicated Paddle payment link sent to the customer, setting a custom price, term, and number of seats. The price, term, and seat count stated in that invoice or payment link prevail over the standard self-serve pricing in Section 1.1. In all other respects — including cancellation, the Read-Only behaviour of Section 6, and acceptable use — these Terms continue to apply, unless the invoice expressly states otherwise. To request a volume license quote, contact [email protected].
2. Community Showcase
2.1. Feature Description
The Community Showcase allows Subscribers to upload stills (frames) from their own creative projects. Each project receives a dedicated public page on StillsLab.
2.2. Supported Project Types
The following project types are accepted: short films, music videos, commercials, experimental films, and other original creative video works.
2.3. Review Process
All submitted projects are reviewed by the StillsLab team before publication. The Administration reserves the right to reject or remove any submission that does not meet content guidelines, without obligation to provide a detailed explanation.
3. Upload Limits
3.1. Maximum File Size. 5 MB per image.
3.2. Maximum Storage. 200 MB per user.
3.3. Compression. If your images exceed the file size limit, we recommend compressing them to WebP format at a quality of no less than 90%.
3.4. Limit Changes. The Administration reserves the right to adjust these limits. Active Subscribers will be notified of any changes in advance.
4. Content Guidelines
4.1. Original Work Only. You may only upload frames from projects that you have created or have the right to publish.
4.2. No Third-Party Content. Uploading frames from films, series, music videos, or other works that you do not own rights to is strictly prohibited.
4.3. AI-Generated Content. AI-generated content is permitted only if it is clearly disclosed. Projects containing AI-generated material must be marked accordingly. Uploading AI-generated content without proper labeling will result in project removal.
4.4. Prohibited Content. Content that is illegal, promotes hatred, or violates the rights of others is prohibited.
4.5. Enforcement. Violation of these guidelines may result in project removal and, in cases of repeated violations, termination of your subscription access.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1. Ownership. You retain full ownership of all content you upload to StillsLab.
5.2. License Granted. By uploading content, you grant StillsLab a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the Site and its related promotional channels (social media, newsletters), with attribution to your pseudonym.
5.3. Content Removal. You may request removal of your content at any time by editing your project or contacting [email protected].
6. Cancellation and Refunds
6.1. Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal managed by Paddle. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6.2. Refunds. Refunds are not provided by StillsLab. All payment-related matters, including refund requests, are handled by Paddle (our Merchant of Record) in accordance with their policies.
6.3. Loss of Access. Upon cancellation, you lose access to subscription-exclusive features (including the ability to create new projects or upload new frames).
6.4. Read-Only Mode (Studio plan). If your Studio plan expires or is cancelled, your Studio workspace projects transition to a static, read-only state. You and your invited team members may still view existing shot lists, maps, and other workspace content, but editing functions — including adding new frames, modifying projects, and generating new call sheets — are blocked until payment is restored. Reactivating an active Studio plan restores full editing access.
6.5. Published Projects. Projects that have already been published will remain publicly visible after cancellation. Your existing content will not be removed unless you request it.
6.6. Digital Goods & No-Refund Policy. All subscription plans grant immediate, intangible digital access to advanced platform capabilities and features. Due to the immediate delivery nature of digital content, the Site operates under a strict no-refund policy. Upon cancellation, your subscription benefits remain active until the end of the current billing cycle, provided you comply with our platform guidelines and these Terms.
6.7. No Bulk-Download Rights. Purchasing a subscription does not grant you the right to bulk-download, harvest, or scrape the database. The Site employs automated detection systems for suspicious activity. In the event of a violation of our Terms of Use (e.g., detected automated crawling or database harvesting under a paid status), your account will be permanently banned and your subscription canceled immediately, without any entitlement to a refund or compensation.
7. Modification and Termination
7.1. Modification. StillsLab reserves the right to modify subscription pricing, features, and upload limits. Active Subscribers will be notified of material changes at least 14 days in advance.
7.2. Termination. StillsLab may terminate a Subscriber's access in cases of serious or repeated violations of these Terms, the Terms of Use, or the Content Guidelines. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
8. Governing Law
8.1. Governing Law. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine.
8.2. Dispute Resolution. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through negotiations. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Ukraine.
9. Contact Information
9.1. Contact. For questions about these Terms or your subscription, contact us at: [email protected].
